Lial Catholic School is surrounded by 96 beautiful wooded acres in Whitehouse, Ohio. Lial began as a small cottage on Davis Road in 1972. By 1973, enrollment numbers allowed classes to begin in a newly constructed school. In 1975 & 1976 the Readiness, Primary & Intermediate Units, along with the multipurpose room were added. In 1988 the courtyard was made into our beautiful library. The 1996-97 school year brought the first phase of the construction of the southwest wing. By the spring of 1997, the former multipurpose room was remodeled as the Middle School classroom and the new auditorium was ready for use. The remaining rooms in the southwest wing were completed during the next five years.

The Lial campus was designed to allow for open space for interaction among classrooms, quiet places for thought, fluid space for creativity, and an abundance of God's natural light to bless us with each day.

Lial students actively move throughout the campus during the day. They change rooms for different classes... allowing them to rotate scenery and fellow students. The Lial classroom structure is unique among elementary schools.

We would love to give your family a tour of our campus. Please contact Sr. Pat at 419-877-5167 for a visit .

Building Security

Except for public events, the outside doors to the southwest wing are locked. After the students arrive each day all school entrances are locked. All classrooms are equipped with a phone intercom to insure easy access to help if needed.

Thank you to the Bolger Builders and Ridge Stone Builders who made our community build one of the best!
